Happy Valentine’s Day!

This special valentine was from Frank Sexton Estill to his mother, Loulie Sexton Estill, sometime in the 1920’s. Frank S. Estill’s mother was married to Harry Fishburne Estill, who was President of Sam Houston State University from 1908 till he retired in 1937.

Harry and Loulie Estill both have buildings on the Sam Houston State University campus named in their honor. The Harry F. Estill Building (originally the Estill Library) and the Loulie Sexton Estill Residence Hall.

You can view this valentine from the Harry F. Estill Collection in the University Archives.
